Owls Vacarri Snags SL1 Player of the Week Monday, August 3rd, 2020 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Onofredo Vacarri of the Regina Owls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Vacarri rocked opposing pitching for a .588 average (10-for-17), 4 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. In 19 games this season Vacarri is batting .462 with 24 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 17 runs and driven in 16. |
