Glendale Hurler Wins SL2 Pitcher of the Year Award

Denny Powell was really special this season. You could feel the electricity in the air every time he took the mound for the Glendale Gunslingers. Today he was honored by his selection as the 2020 Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Year Award recipient.
He started 11 games, logging 64 innings, 8 wins, no losses, 89 strikeouts and a 1.55 ERA. Powell gave up 37 hits, while walking 8 and holding opponents to a .162 average.
Ids de Jongh of the Portland Olympics finished second in voting, while Rich Ramirez of the Buffalo Valley Cats finished third.

Quintana Triumphs in Pitcher of the Year Award Voting

The Sub League 1 announced today that Luis Quintana has been chosen the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 2020. The Edina hurler had everything working for him as he cruised to an outstanding 6-4 record.
Quintana put up an impressive 2.07 ERA in his award-winning season. He started 14 times, worked 100 innings, yielded 81 hits, walked 17, fanned 95 and held opposing hitters to a .219 average.
Felipe Jimenez of the Hartford Yard Goats finished second in voting, while Edwin Ramirez of the Edina Timberwolves finished third.
