Glendale Hurler Wins SL2 Pitcher of the Year Award Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020 Denny Powell was really special this season. You could feel the electricity in the air every time he took the mound for the Glendale Gunslingers. Today he was honored by his selection as the 2020 Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Year Award recipient. He started 11 games, logging 64 innings, 8 wins, no losses, 89 strikeouts and a 1.55 ERA. Powell gave up 37 hits, while walking 8 and holding opponents to a .162 average. Ids de Jongh of the Portland Olympics finished second in voting, while Rich Ramirez of the Buffalo Valley Cats finished third. |
